The state of Michoacan

• The tradition of commemorating to the deads, is one of the most beloved and diffused in Mexico; although of eminently religious character, it doesn't only have taken Christian foundations of the habit of honoring the faithful deceaseds", also preserve many of the characteristics of the funeral ritual practiced in prehispanic times. The placement of altars and offerings at homes and vaults are the result of several cultural traditions, that of before Columbus origin and the Christian Spaniards that arrived with the conquest.
• Michoacán, important center of handmade production in Mexico, they take place more than 30 varieties of crafts. Most of these branches have their origin in the prehispanic time and today in day, many continue taking place with technical ancestral.
• The Plateau Purhépecha, possessor of true unique jewels of colonial architecture in Mexico, is one of the four geographical regions of the state of Michoacán that population indigenous and great part of her traditions conserves among them the language, being the other ones three the Cañada of the Eleven Towns, the Lacustrine Region of Pátzcuaro and the Marsh of Zacapu.
